Answers to common questions about KurdAI. If you need anything else, email us at contact@kurdai.org.

What is KurdAI?

KurdAI is an independent project building AI tools for the Kurdish language across Sorani, Kurmancî, and English. It includes chat (Jire), translation (Wergêr), transliteration, and a full speech suite.

How do I sign in?

Sign in with Google or with an email magic link. It is free to get started, and you can begin using the tools right away.

Which languages and dialects are supported?

Sorani and Kurmancî Kurdish, plus English. Sorani is written in the Arabic script and Kurmancî in the Latin script, and our transliteration tool converts Sorani between the two.

What tools are available?

Five tools are live today: Jire (chat), Wergêr (translation), transliteration, speech to text, and text to speech; voice chat is coming soon. You can open any of them from the Projects page or your dashboard.

Is KurdAI free? Are there paid plans?

We offer generous free access for individuals, students, and researchers, with fair-use limits. A paid tier is planned for heavy users, and supporters can fund free access for people who cannot pay.

How is my data used, and can I opt out of training?

We collect as little as we can and never sell your data. We only use your content to train our models if you give permission, and you can turn that on or off in your settings at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How accurate are the results?

Results are AI-generated and can be inaccurate or incomplete. Please verify important information independently. See our Terms for more.

The microphone is not working.

The speech tools need microphone permission in your browser. If it is blocked, allow microphone access in your browser settings and reload the page. Voice data is handled according to our Privacy Policy.
